Once You're Here
We want you to have a memorable time in South Dakota. Here are some of our favorite places to visit while you're here.

Crazy Horse Memorial
Learn about the history and culture of Native Americans at the Crazy Horse Memorial. It's a massive mountain carving that honors the legendary Sioux chief and offers a glimpse into the past. The bi-annual Crazy Horse Volksmarch (an organized 6-mile hike) takes place the first Saturday of June and October, allowing visitors to stand on the chief's arm.

Badlands National Park
The rugged beauty of the Badlands draws visitors from around the world. These striking geologic deposits contain one of the world’s richest fossil beds. The park’s 244,000 acres protect an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live today.
Historic Deadwood
The discovery of gold in the southern Black Hills in 1874 set off one of the great gold rushes in America. In 1876, miners moved into the northern Black Hills. Today you’ll find modern-day casinos, resort hotels, full-service spas, big name concerts, and some of the best parties in the entire United States.

Where to Stay
Hotels and B&Bs
Group or no group?
We understand everyone has different comfort levels and their own idea of a vacation. Although we think it is more fun and makes the weekend a little easier by staying as a group, we understand if you want to stay at a nearby hotel, airbnb, B&B or campground. We love the Spearfish City Campground and doubt any lodging listings in the city would disappoint!
